At ThinSpace Africa and in a context of service, a hero is not necessarily someone with superpower, but a person who overcomes obstacles in times of challenge or someone who sees a need and chooses to come alongside others, overcoming obstacles with them.
Each month, we share the story of one person whose life reflects this kind of endurance: a teacher, healthcare worker, community leader, parent, volunteer, young person, or child. Through their stories, we celebrate the people at the heart of the communities we partner with and remind ourselves that each of us can make a difference.
Our hope is that these stories inspire you and invite all of us to ask: Where can I show up? Who can I come alongside? How can I use what I have to serve my community...or a community across the world?
